How To Play Sports In a Division I, II, or III School
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) closely regulates the athletic recruitment process. Earning a spot on a college roster takes more than just skill. You need marketing skills, the know-how to get coaches to see you in action, and the ability to maximize your exposure in front of college coaches without breaking the NCAA’s boundaries.
Who Has Potential?
Before putting effort into trying to become a college athlete, the high school student needs to decide whether he or she wants the lack of flexibility that comes with commitment to a sport. In college, many sports require a year-round commitment. In addition, depending on the school, coach, and sport, the player’s time may not be his own. What, exactly, do you want from your college experience?
If you have the desire to play a collegiate sport, do you have enough talent? Players typically do random workouts and hope for the best. With Athelites’ Player Rating, there’s no more guesswork. It gives players a complete understanding of their athleticism and athletic potential. A Player Rating gives you an unbiased measurement of your current ability, and also your potential for future success. If you don’t have a Player Rating, click to Register or contact us for more information at info@athelites.com
Presenting Yourself To Schools
Unless you’re a truly exceptional player, you can’t afford to wait for coaches to find you. You have to market yourself to the coaches at the school’s you’re interested in, but within the NCAA’s contact guidelines. Learn the NCAA’s rules. If you break them, you lose your college athletic eligibility.
