athelites - The Season Starts Here

News

Abigayle Wilson really wanted a spot on Fallston High School’s JV soccer team but knew she was facing stiff competition. She decided to train over the summer with Athelites and get a head start over other incoming freshmen.

She made the team and says, “If I hadn’t done any training, I think I would have been thinking I wouldn’t make the team.” The team has many strong players who’ve earned an excellent record so far this year. “We haven’t lost a game yet,” says Abigayle.

The effort she put into training increased her endurance during tryouts and games. “Since we ran a lot over the summer, I was in much better shape than the other players. I had more stamina to go past them,” she says.

Athelites also improved her ball handling skills. “I liked that the drills were challenging,” Abigayle says. “They weren’t like drills I’d done before. I learned a lot. I learned different moves and how to shoot the ball differently. I also learned how to head and trap the ball.”

Ephraim taught many new skills, but he made sure that every player learned the technique before moving on to something else. “I think we went at a good pace,” Abigayle says. “If I didn’t learn the skill, we’d go back over it, and if someone else didn’t learn it, we’d go back over the skill again, just to make sure that everyone was learning at the same pace. Then when another session came, we’d move on to a different set of skills.”

Abigayle has played soccer since 2nd grade. She knew the basics of soccer, but Athelites took her skills to another level. She’s a forward on her team, and over the summer gained new skills that helped her improve at her position. Since Athletes, “I can shoot better, and I have better ball control.” She also learned new ways to out maneuver defensive players.

Abigayle recommends the soccer training program to other athletes. “If other people do Athelites, it will help them a lot towards making their high school’s team and winning games. It will also give them more confidence about how they play.”
